Basic Picture Exercises – Learn to Visualize
Go to the museum often. Study paintings of different time periods. There are many videos dedicated to specific artists and schools of painitng. Whenever you are working on a scene or a play, see if a painting, drawing, or cartoon that you’ve absorbed inspires you.
Keep a scrapbook of photos from daily newspapers that have special impact upon you. You never know when you’ll use one.
Study the films that you like from the perspective of what has been put into each frame, how it has been organized, and how it affects you.
