The attitude of an actor at rehearsal constitutes a pretty accurate gauge of one’s ultimate success. You should become familiar with the role as a whole just as soon as possible.

If the rehearsal is held in another location from where the video shoot will take place, or if it will be shot using a green screen, you should visualize the actual conditions of the scene. In order to see a clear picture of the stage, you should appreciate its composition, and to feel yourself a part of it.

If you will be singing a song, you must not only coordinate your own lines and actions, but also the meanings of the lines and how they will make sense with the music and it’s rhythms.

When you are first learning your lines for a song or an act, it’s fine to be having difficulty in remembering them. When you are reading them for the very first time, you may be very apt to display a faraway expression, quite irrelevant to the thought or mood of the character.

You might even tilt your head back, close your eyes and tap on your forehead in order to concentrate. You might look down at the floor a good part of the time.

Just take your time learning your words and get familiar with the role of your charachter, contrive to imagine your character without the aid of costume. Just become whoever the character is.
